7 Conditions for non-commission of criminal offenses They must not be fugitives from justice or have been finally or irrevocably convicted of theft of antiquities; robbery; intentional homicide; smuggling, possession, use of or trafficking in drugs; exploitation of prostitutes or human trafficking; statutory rape; rape; sexual assault; theft; forgery; fraud; embezzlement; illegal fishing using explosive, chemical or plant materials; intentional shipwrecking; under the law on intermediaries. Description Once the person concerned has been granted the certificate of submission of the application, he/she must then be deemed qualified following an oral and practical examination by a three-member committee appointed by decision of the Head of the Port Authority.

Notes Those who hold a certificate in Underwater Demolition or from a Hellenic Navy Diving School and have served in the Underwater Missions Unit of the Hellenic Coast Guard, as a combat diver specialist, are exempt from the examinations.
