Description

The procedure concerns the possibility of regrading the written tests of students of Middle School, General and Vocational High School. The reagrading is carried out at the Secondary Education Directorate of the relevant middle school, general or vocational high school. Within two (2) working days for secondary schools and general secondary schools and within three (3) working days for vocational secondary schools after the results are issued, the guardians of the students or the students themselves, if they are adults, may submit a request to the school where they are attending, requesting the regrading of one or more written tests.

Students with disabilities and special educational needs for whom an oral examination is provided instead of a written examination may, if they wish, request a re-examination ("regrading") in the subjects they have been examined in. This re-examination takes place in the school where they attend before a committee of teachers from the school who have the first or second assignment in the subject concerned, other than those who conducted the original examination. The committee shall be set up by the headmaster of the school. The request for re-examination is submitted by the students guardians or by the students themselves, if they are adults, to the school within two (2) days for secondary schools and secondary schools and within three (3) days for middle schools from the date of the results. The application shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee for each course for which a review is requested. The grade of the reconsideration shall be the average of the two examiners - regraders and shall be the final written grade of the course in each case, whether it is higher or lower than the grade of the original examination.

            • 3 Establishment of a three-member upgrading committee

              Description By decision of the Director of the Directorate of Secondary Education concerned, a three-member regrading committee shall be set up, consisting of two teachers of the same specialty or who have been assigned the corresponding course for which revaluation has been requested, who are also the graders of the revaluation and one Education Counsellor or a teacher of the Directorate of Secondary Education with a grade of at least D, who is the revaluator in case the grades of the first two differ from each other by more than twelve (12) points. The same decision shall fix the date and time of the recalibration. If the written tests to be regraded are more than one than two hundred (200), the committee may appoint two other teachers of the same discipline or who have assigned to the respective course for which recalibration is requested and the written papers shall be distributed among the other examiners. the essays shall be divided equally between the two groups of graders - between the two groups of assessors and the two sets of assessors. The responsibility for the coordination of the Director of the relevant Directorate of Secondary Education is responsible for coordinating the work of the regrading committees.

            • 4 Drawing up of the regrading protocol and dispatch of it to the High Schools along with the written tests

              Description Upon completion of the regrading procedure, the competent Directorate of Secondary Education draws up a relevant protocol, which contains the final score of the written tests, which is sent to the General High Schools of their origin together with the written tests.
